Use and Care
Properly maintaining Snap-On hair extensions like Snap-ins is quite simple and requires regular maintenance to keep the extensions in good condition. Here are some tips on how to care for your hair extensions:
Storage: Store your hair extensions in a cool, dry place when not in use, preferably in a box or fabric bag designed for hair extensions. This will help prevent confusion and damage.
Combing: Gently comb your clip-in hair extensions before and after each use. Use a brush specially designed for hair extensions and start combing from the ends and move towards the roots. Keep the hair on the clips up while combing, so that you do not create tension in the hair.
Washing: Clip in hair extensions do not need washing as often as your natural hair. If you use it every day, washing it once a week is sufficient. Use a sulfate-free and moisturizing shampoo and avoid applying conditioner to the roots where the clips are attached and avoid tangling while washing. For best results, we recommend using the PLATINUM care set.
Drying: Air dry your clip-in hair extensions as much as possible. Avoid excessive heat, which can damage the hair and clips. If you need to style extensions, use low heat settings and heat protectant PLATINUM TWO PHASE spray.
Remove Extensions While Sleeping: Since clip-in hair extensions are designed to be removable, it is best to remove them before going to bed. Sleeping with extensions can cause confusion and unnecessary wear.
Handle Care: Handle your clip-in hair extensions with care, especially when attaching and removing clip-ins to your natural hair. Avoid pulling or forcing hair or clips.
Avoid Chemicals: Avoid using hair products containing harsh chemicals or alcohol near the extensions as they can dry out and damage the hair.
Cutting: If necessary, you can cut your clip-in hair extensions to match your natural hair.
Periodic Check: Have the condition of your clip-in hair extensions checked regularly, especially if you use them frequently. This way you can be sure that the clips are secure and the extensions are in good condition.
Color and Style Care: If you plan to dye or style your clip-in hair extensions, it is better to do this before attaching them to your hair. This way you can protect your natural hair and clips from potential damage.
By following these care tips, you can extend the life of your clip-in hair extensions and achieve a natural, beautiful look every time you use them.
